Warden Enterprize, Inc.
Getting to Know Us
Thanks for visiting our web site and showing a interest in what all Warden Enterprize, Inc. does.
Originally back in the early 1970's
Warden Enterprize was founded in the attic of our house where when we added
on to the house due to our increasing family the carpenters told me that there
would be room to fix a 12 X 12 room in the attic for a "shop". Little
did they know what that little shop would provide in later years.
My first purchase was a FIE 25 acp simi-auto pistol that cost a whole $19.95
if my memory serves me correct. From the sale of that one pistol two were
purchased and when those sold three more FIE 25 acp's plus a Charter Arms
Undercover 38 special. The snowball started really slowly but gained momentum
as time passed on by.
Over the years I have been blessed with loyal customers that relied on my small shop to provide all the archery equipment during archery deer season. I found out that I could make arrows and work on a few selected recurve, compound and crossbows. With a reputation for fine arrows my business grew and grew until I started with a few medical problems that prohibited my constant attention to the shop and its customers.
Now with the increased responsibility with the Bryan Funeral Home my little gun shop has suffered more and more. I still do special orders at 10% above my dealer's cost which several folks takes advantage of the lesser cost throughout out the year. Archery deer season still brings all the hunters out of the woods in search for arrows, ammo and bug spray.
Even with the less time I spend in the shop I still try to keep up with all the current models and the new ammunition that is being developed.
At the present time most of my time
is taken by the Bryan Funeral Home where I am dedicated to the services that
we provide the public when a death occurs as well as the new responsibilities
of being the Lawrence County Coroner as well.
My wife Gayla is my main secretary and chief cook and bottle washer. She's put up with the smell of gun oil in the house and even allows me to test shoot firearms in the small basement of the house where at one time I had the ideal to cut through the concrete wall in a attempt to dig the basement out fully. However after digging for several days and making little headway I ceased and have since been using the dirt that was exposed as a back stop for the bullets.
Gayla and I have two children, Amanda
Michelle who is a Paramedic and runs the ambulances in West Memphis as well
as Marion and Robert Christopher, Chris, who is attending college courses
to enable him to obtain his funeral director and embalmer's license. We have
five dogs of a large mix breed that are all allergic to any type of corn in
their food as well as two over weight cats in the house.
Amanda, Chris and I have all obtained our black belts in Tang Soo Doo from
our instructor Mr. Fred Weeks who had trained and tested under Chuck Norris
prior to him becoming a TV star. Gayla unfortunately injured her knee during
her second degree red belt test that ended her karate career.
